FileMaker places several restrictions upon the functionality of Runtime Applications (such as Synaesthesia), of which we have no control over. Some of the most important limitations are: - The window close button (next to the minimize and maximize buttons) is disabled on every window
- An additional "Preferences" option is added to the Synaesthesia menu, containing options that are largely meaningless
- The data (.syn) files must be stored in a fixed location
- When Synaesthesia is active but all windows are minimized, there are many menu options. Aside from the "Window" menu, these menus serve no purpose.
